Straight answers

Ask the practical questions.

Method fit, drying, pet concerns, warranty requirements, price, and the final vacuum all matter. Here is the useful version—without universal promises.

Method + drying
Is dry foam waterless?

No. Dry foam is a low-moisture process. It uses water and cleaning solution in a foam-rich application designed to avoid unnecessary saturation.

How long will the carpet take to dry?

Many low-moisture jobs dry later the same day, but no single time applies to every carpet. Fiber, pile, soil, treatment, temperature, humidity, and airflow all matter. We provide a practical range and use instructions for your job.

Is dry foam better than steam cleaning?

Not in every situation. Hot-water extraction—often called steam cleaning—is well suited to restorative cleaning and is required by some carpet warranties. Dry foam can be useful for routine maintenance and shorter drying windows. The carpet, soil, warranty, and desired result should guide the method.

Do I need to vacuum afterward?

Yes. Once the carpet is completely dry, vacuum it thoroughly to remove remaining dried shampoo and loosened soil. We explain when it is ready and how to manage the room until then.

Will dry foam satisfy my carpet warranty?

Your carpet manufacturer’s written care requirements control. Some warranties specify cleaning intervals, approved products, documentation, or hot-water extraction. Check those terms before choosing a method.

Results + household use
Is the process safe for children and pets?

We select products intended for the surface and follow their label directions. Children and pets should remain away from the work area during service and until the carpet is fully dry. Product information or safety documentation is available on request.

Can every stain be removed?

No responsible cleaner can promise that. Some discoloration is caused by dye loss, bleaching, wear, heat, or permanent fiber damage. We inspect and explain the likely outcome before aggressive treatment.

Can you remove pet odor?

Surface-level issues may improve substantially. Odor or urine that reached the backing, pad, or subfloor may require additional treatment or material replacement. The source and depth matter more than the visible spot alone.

Do you clean area rugs?

Selected rugs may be cleaned on site only after they pass construction, fiber, care-label, and colorfastness checks. Delicate, natural-fiber, or specialty rugs may need a dedicated rug-cleaning facility.

Do you clean businesses?

Small-business carpet maintenance may be available by quote after we confirm the carpet, site requirements, access, downtime, insurance needs, and equipment suitability. We do not assume a household cleaning system fits every commercial site.

Pricing + appointments
How does pricing work?

Standard carpeted rooms are $99 each and carpeted stairs are $7.50 each. Large or open-plan areas, specialty work, rugs, hard floors, commercial work, and other scope are confirmed separately before service.

Who qualifies for the 15% community discount?

Seniors, teachers, active military and veterans, law enforcement, and healthcare workers may qualify for 15% off eligible standard room and stair cleaning. TruFoam confirms eligibility and whether it can be combined with another offer before service.

How does booking work?

The online form sends a request, not an instant confirmed appointment. We call or text to confirm method fit, scope, price, date, and time window.

What should I prepare before the visit?

Secure pets, clear small or fragile items, point out spots and concerns, and make a path to the work area. We confirm any furniture, access, parking, building, or other preparation details with you before the appointment.

Where does TruFoam provide service?

TruFoam serves Elk River and surrounding Northwest Twin Cities communities. Exact address coverage and any travel considerations are confirmed before scheduling.

Kirby Home Systems
Can I buy a Kirby Avalir system from TruFoam?

Yes. TruFoam Home Systems offers three household cleaning packages with in-home demonstration pricing. Review the exact itemized package, manufacturer documents, delivery, taxes, financing terms, and return terms before payment.

Is the Factory Rebuild Program a lifetime warranty?

No. Kirby’s Factory Rebuild Program is a separate, paid, conditional program—not a lifetime warranty. Eligibility, fees, exclusions, ownership requirements, covered components, and use restrictions are controlled by Kirby’s current written terms.

Can the Kirby Avalir be used professionally?

Kirby’s published materials describe the household system for household use. Professional or commercial use can change warranty coverage. Review the current written warranty and intended-use documentation before buying for a business application.

Still unsure?

Describe the carpet—not the marketing label.

Tell us the fiber if you know it, the age, visible soil, odor concerns, warranty status, and what you need the room ready for. We’ll start there.
